DR DAVID ANDERSON

MB ChB, MRCGP, MRCOG

Dr Anderson graduated from Aberdeen University Medical School in 1988. He specialises in administering steroid injections and currently works part-time on the following days: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

DR ERICA ELLISON

MB ChB, MRCGP , DRCOG

Dr Ellison graduated from Glasgow Medical School in 2004. She oversees regular child health clinics and currently works part-time on the following days: Monday all day, Tuesday morning, Wednesday all day

DR HELEN HELLEWELL

MB ChB, MRCGP, DFFP. DCCH

Dr Hellewell graduated from Aberdeen University Medical School in 1990 and is the Senior Partner within the practice. She currently works part-time, Thursday morning and Friday afternoon

DR SHEILA MCNAB

MB ChB, MRCGP

Dr McNab graduated from Glasgow University Medical School in 1990,. She specialises in Diabetes and currently works part-time on the following days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

DR RACHEL HALL

MB ChB

Dr Hall graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2008. She has an interest in child health and contraceptive implants she currently works part time on the following days: Monday morning, Wednesday and Thursday all day

Nurse Practitioner

LOUISE GRANT

Mrs Grant is a highly experienced nurse who has developed her role to become a Nurse Practitioner. She deals with a variety of minor ailments and provides an on the day morning clinic where she can give advice on the telephone or face to face in the surgery and provide prescriptions where required. She currently works part time.

Practice Nurse

EMMA LAFFERTY

Miss Lafferty joined the practice in May 2022. She provides practice nurse support to the clinical team. Her nursing background has given her a wide knowledge of all aspects of nursing requirement within the practice. She currently works part time.

Mental Health Triage Nurse

ANDREW PATERSON

Mr Paterson provides invaluable mental health support within the practice. He has a mix of telephone and face to face appointments that can be booked in advance. He currently works part time on the following days: Monday morning and Thursday all day.

Healthcare Assistant

ELAINE BARLOW

Mrs Barlow has a vast wealth of experience in Phlebotomy and is available to assist the Practice Nursing Team with a variety of clinical duties. She currently works part time.

Phlebotomist

LEIGH FERNIE

Mrs Fernie provides Phlebotomy services i.e. takes blood for analysis at the hospital, she can also check your Blood Pressure, height and weight. She currently works on the following days: Tuesday and Wednesday

CTAC Nurse

Mrs Brash provides phlebotomy and treatment room cover. She currently works part time on the following days: Monday and Friday all day.

Sarah is responsible for the day to day running and administration of the Practice whilst also taking forward any developments within the Practice. She is able to help with any non-clinical aspects of your care and is happy to hear your views and suggestions regarding the services offered by our Practice.

Tricia will endeavour to assist you with any day-to-day query/problem that you may have that is affected by our service.

Reception

Our Reception/Admin staff (Toni, Paula, Michelle, Alison, Christine, Emma and Megan), provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Community Nurses

The District Nurses offer nursing care to people in their home who, for medical reasons only, are unable to attend the surgery. They also offer advice and support to patients and their carers. They are based at the health centre and can be contacted on 761086.

Health Visitors

Our health visitors are registered nurses who also have an additional qualification in community health. They can offer advice to people of all ages who have problems concerning their health. The Health Visitor is based at the health centre and can be contacted on 761087
